Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea

K&C Adult learning Service is an adult community learning provider within the Economy and Learning Team of the Council.

The role of the service within the post-mandatory education sector is to provide access to education for those with low starting points, who may not be confident enough to attend a college, those preferring to learn in community settings or who may be starting out on their learning journey, alongside providing access to provision that can help residents pursue an interest, address a need, support maintenance of health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

We provide accessible and affordable learning in a wide range of community venues, close to where people live, delivering a broad curriculum to support residents’ development of aspiration and employment skills, health and wellbeing, participation, and citizenship.

The service subcontracts the vast majority of its provision to local voluntary and community sector organisations, training providers and our local college, aligning with the borough’s ambition of working in partnership with local organisations providing accessible delivery to residents local to their homes.
